In February 2019, the BSA began to allow girls' units at the Boy Scout level. Troop 52 in Marshallton, PA was an early adopter of the program, with interested girls and trained leaders ready to go in 2018. To get a head start, we formed a girls-only, BSA Explorer Club that will focused on camping and outdoor skills. We were able to prepare the girls for requirements they needed in the Scouts as well as the organizational structure and leadership roles of the BSA. Once the Scouts BSA program went live in February 2019, we converted the group from an Explorer Club to a Troop and hit the ground running.
Welcome to Troop 19! Come get involved and be one of the groundbreaking girls to help pioneer this exciting, historic program!
